Diamond View Cottage is a large, new cottage built in the traditional style, one of a group of 8 similar cottages on 11 acres, including a Children's Play Area. It has 5 bedrooms and can accommodate 9 people.

The property is separate and secluded with its own large private garden and decked patio.

Located 2 minutes walk from Letterfrack village with its Supermarket, shops, lively pubs (featuring traditional music many evenings) and award-winning Pangur Bán restaurant.

Location

The property is on an elevated site enjoying spectacular views of the majestic Connemara landscape, including Diamond Mountain.

Cottage is adjacent to Connemara National Park, circa 2000 hectares and a walker’s dream. It is close to Cleggan village where regular ferries service beautiful and historic Inishbofin Island with its unspoilt flora and fauna.

Nearby you will find Renvyle with its wonderful beaches, Kylemore Abbey, the spectacular gothic convent and Victorian botanical gardens, and the bustling town of Clifden, the "capital of Connemara".

The entire area is a paradise for walking/fishing/beaches/ cycling/horse riding or maybe just sitting and enjoying the stunning scenery of Connemara!

Beautiful Letterfrack village is in the heart of Connemara. The entrance to Connemara National Park is based in here, leading to over 2000 hectares of rugged mountain walks lakes and bogs teaming with wildlife, birds and rare plant life. Open to the public every summer and well worth a visit.

There´s plenty of life in the village, well known as one of the most musical in the area. You never know when you might come across a session of traditional music in one of the pubs. Two of the village´s three pubs serve seafood and high quality cuisine, or for a superb culinary experience you could try "Pangur Ban" award winning thatched restaurant also based in Letterfrack. If you would prefer to cook for yourself, go to Veldon’s new shop in the village where you will find everything you need.

There is a tea-room in the National Park open from Easter to October. The College Café is great for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as a takeaway or game of pool. For great gifts don't miss The Avoca Craft Shop. Avoca is beside the pier in Letterfrack which is a beautiful place for a photo, as well as being the starting point for sea cruises and fishing trips on the "Queen of Connemara".
